Position: PR05 Chief Deputy Prosecutor-Criminal

Job Summary:

Performs all duties of a Prosecuting Attorney pursuant to Idaho Code, managing assigned cases from intake through disposition. Acts as Prosecutor for Boundary County in the absence of the Prosecuting Attorney.
Experience Required:
Graduation from an ABA accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate degree. At least four years’ experience as a practicing attorney with two years’ experience in a prosecutor’s office preferred. Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Idaho and maintain good standing with the Idaho State Bar. Must maintain continuing legal education requirements of the State Bar.

Position: RS17 Personal Services Assistant I

Job Summary:

Provides support to residents with day-to-day needs of daily life. Performs personal and housekeeping tasks to the degree a resident cannot do for themselves. As a member of a team, encourage independence, support resident choice and preserve resident dignity in an ethical and professional manner. Needs to be willing to become MED CERTIFIED within 90 days of employment.
NOTE: There is a $ .30 per hour shift differential pay increase for hours worked from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Upon Medication Certification hourly rate increases TO $15.32 per hour.
Experience:
High School or GED. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Must be able to communicate and deal effectively with the elderly. Must pass Criminal History background check, including fingerprinting, and meet all requirements outlined in the Rules for Licensed Residential and Assisted Living Facilities in Idaho. Job Summary:

Cooks or assists the cook with food preparation, cleaning, and upkeep of kitchen & dining room for senior citizens & their guests in a Residential Care Facility (Assisted Living). Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fire drills, & other emergency situations. Documents & reports eating habits in care notes & reports significant changes in habits to the Administrator or Administrator's designee. Promotes healthy eating habits while offering different choices when a resident chooses to refuse his or her current physician ordered diet.
Experience Required:

This position prefers an individual who has previous work-related experience. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal skills, work well independently and as part of a team. The individual must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently and be able to demonstrate a positive attitude.

Ability to read, write and do simple arithmetic. Must be 18 years of age or older or hold a current Certified Nurse Aid License in the State of Idaho. Ability to communicate effectively with superiors, peers, senior citizens and the general public. Must be able to provide efficient, friendly service to seniors and their guests. Complete eight hours of continuing education credits per year. Must pass a personal background check, federal background check and pre-employment drug testing. Must have current CPR/FA card or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Current food handler's certificate or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Position# RB02 Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
Department: Road & Bridge

Job Summary:
Operates and maintains a variety of types of heavy equipment used in the maintenance, repair and construction of the County Road and Bridge System, including class A trucks, graders, bulldozers, front end loaders, back hoes, dump trucks, crusher equipment, asphalt production and application equipment, snow removal equipment and sanding equipment.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years in a related field. Background in heavy equipment operation. Must maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Driver’s License Class A. Must be able to pass exams and acquire CDL endorsements "tanker" within six months of hire date.

Must maintain a valid ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) registered flaggers card at all times (Requires training and re-certification every 3 years). and must complete Idaho T2 Traffic control Technician course within first 3 years of employment.
Must complete MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) "New Employee and Hazard Awareness Training for Miners" within 6 months of hire date. All employees are required to complete "Annual Refresher Training for Miners" on a yearly basis.

Position: Communication Specialist

Typical hours: 40 hours per week, various shifts. Must work weekends and holidays as required.
Position Summary:
Monitors radios and answers telephone, including 911 system, and relays accurate and pertinent information to appropriate agency or agencies necessary to ensure a rapid and effective response. Enters data on all wanted, missing or runaway persons, protection orders, vehicles, stolen firearms and other information into nationwide law enforcement database, and provides information to law enforcement officers in the field on license registration, warrants and dangerous suspects to ensure officer safety.
Experience Required:
Experience in computer operation, data processing and general office skills. Education or experience in law enforcement practices and procedures preferred. Must pass ILETS / NCIC entry and inquiry test within six months of employment and maintain ILETS certification annually. Must attend two-week Basic POST Dispatch Academy during first year of employment and one-week advanced POST Dispatch Academy within 36 months of employment and attend other classes and seminars as required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a clear, strong voice and the ability to remain composed and professional under extremely stressful situations. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneously and with constant interruption. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have above-average ability to gather information from a number of sources, render a rapid decision as to the most effective response, and communicate information accurately yet concisely. Must be able to remain on-station for extended periods, ensuring that the communications center does not go un-staffed.

Subject to attend various classes and seminars throughout the year, some involving spending nights away from home. UPON OBTAINING POST DISPATCH ACADEMY CERTIFICATION, salary will increase.50 an hour.

Position Opening: Detention Deputy

Job Summary:
Experience Required:
Responsible for the care, custody and control of inmates housed in the Boundary County Jail. Supervise inmates both within the facility and on work details outside the facility as required. Conduct security checks of inmates and facility as required by the Boundary County Jail Policy Manual. Dispense medications as directed by the jail physician. Maintain control of inmate property. Inprocess (booking) and release of subjects housed in the jail. Must be able to maintain paperwork generated by this process and through the court system. This is a full-time position.
High school diploma or equivalent. Able to complete P.O.S.T. Academy within one year from date of employment. Must be a U. S. Citizen in order to attend P.O.S.T. Academy. Job Summary:
Performs professional law enforcement duties related to coordinating and directing functions of the Boundary County Sheriff's Office. As a law enforcement officer, the fundamental duty is to serve the community, to safeguard lives and property and to respect the Constitutional rights of all. Acts as field training officer for new deputies and reserve officers. Must be 21 years of age to carry firearms and attend the POST Academy. See Addendum
Experience Required:
Must pass an extensive background investigation. Preference will be given for current Peace Officer certification or prior law enforcement experience. Must obtain basic Peace Officer certification from Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training within one year of employment. This physical fitness requirements to obtain an Idaho.
POST Certification is the completion of a vertical jump, sit ups, pushups, a 300-meter run and a 1.5 mile run to a minimum standard. Required to participate in on-going training to maintain POST certification. Must be able to work under adverse weather conditions, in remote areas, at night and under extremely tense, stressful and potentially dangerous conditions. At times, a high degree of physical activity is required.

It is essential for this position to remain informed & comply with VA benefits, procedures, processes and regulations. Must be a veteran in accordance with IC65-502, 65-504, 65-505, and 65-506. Performs general public relations and informational duties. Confidentiality in job performance is essential to this position.
Experience required:
Associates degree preferred or high school diploma or equivalent. Must be a veteran as defined in I.C. 65-203 and be honorably discharged from any branch of the U.S. military as noted on a certified DD-214. Thorough knowledge of VA forms and procedures and social service programs and services available to eligible veterans and their dependents, widows or widowers. Must have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to effectively conduct interviews and prepare written reports. General knowledge of office procedures and filing systems. Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho Drivers License.
