Commissioners' Meeting Minutes - Week of April 7, 2025

***Monday, April 7, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., Commissioners met in regular session with Chairman Ben Robertson, Commissioner Tim Bertling, Commissioner Lester Pinkerton, Clerk Glenda Poston and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims.

Commissioners said the Pledge of Allegiance.

Maintenance Supervisor Squire Fields entered the meeting at 8:55 a.m. to give the Maintenance report. Mr. Fields reported that the restrooms are done at Memorial Hall and they are now working on the restrooms on the first floor of the Courthouse.

***Monday, March 31, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., Commissioners met in regular session with Chairman Ben Robertson, Commissioner Tim Bertling, Commissioner Lester Pinkerton, and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Sims.

Commissioners said the Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Bertling moved to recess as the Boundary County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Board of Equalization. Commissioner Pinkerton second. Motion passed unanimously.

Commissioners reviewed the Property Tax Exemption applications that were submitted.

TOWN HALL MEETING

The Board of Boundary County Commissioners will host a town hall meeting in Memorial Hall at the fairgrounds, located at 6567 Recreation Park Road, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss various topics regarding upcoming changes within the county and it’s departments. Anyone wanting to learn more and to take input from the community.

Assessor Olivia Drake entered the meeting at 9:05 a.m.

Fay Almond entered the meeting at 9:08 a.m.

Ms. Drake stated that she had some questions on the grooming permit with Manulife Investment. She asked if this was the first time or rolling. Commissioners answered that it was rolling.

Commissioner Bertling moved to sign Quitclaim Deed with ITD for project No. FAP 20-E(1) and Project No. NH-F-5116(026). Commissioner Pinkerton second. Motion passed unanimously.
