Office of Emergency Management

The Boundary County Office of Emergency Management coordinates all components of the emergency management system for the community. The county Emergency Manager manages resources before, during, and after a major emergency or disaster.

The county Emergency Manager conducts activities related to the key components of emergency management, such as identifying and analyzing the potential impacts of hazards that threaten the county, coordinating the planning process, and working cooperatively with organizations and government agencies.

The Office of Emergency Management helps to coordinate local response resources during disaster events, advises the county commissioners on local disaster declarations, and coordinates with Idaho Office of Emergency Management to obtain additional capabilities and resources as required. The Emergency Manager also activates and manages the county Emergency Operations Center when needed.
