Alert: Avalanche Warning until 04:00PM
The Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center has issued an Avalanche Warning indicating HIGH avalanche hazard for the entire forecast region, which includes Bonner, Boundary and Shoshone counties. This warning does not apply to local ski areas within the forecast region. This warning is valid for today, Thursday, Jan 25 and will remain in effect through midnight. For resources on avalanche awareness and education and other regional Avalanche Advisories go to http://www.avalanche.org This information has been transmitted by the National Weather Service at the request of the Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center. This center typically only issues warnings on Fridays. The absence of a warning on any other day of the week should not be used to infer avalanche conditions on those days.
