On April 2, 2019, the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Search Warrant for a residence in the Naples Area following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Detectives. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Doug Elliston on State charges for unlawful possession of firearms while being a convicted felon. Charges are pending for being in possession of a stolen firearm and in possession of 2 firearms with obliterated serial numbers. On May 24th Elliston was also indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on 12 firearms related charges and was arrested on the Federal charges on May 1st and transported to Kootenai County Jail.
