Location: North of Fleming Creek Road, 9 miles north of Bonners Ferry, ID

Special Remarks:
The evacuation order has been lifted as of 6 a.m. today.

Recent Fire Activity: The Fleming Creek Fire did not have any growth in the last 24 hours. Fire activity was minimal, consisting mostly of smoldering fuels within the fire interior. Fire fighters were able to establish fireline completely around the fire. Today, crews will work to strengthen those lines and begin mop-up activities, using water and tools to cool hotspots. A helicopter is available as needed to provide water drops.

The fire is burning on industrial timberland and other private lands north of Fleming Creek Road and west of Lupine Road.

An Idaho interagency Type 3 Incident Management Team is managing the fire.

Weather: Cooler temperatures and higher relative humidity will remain in the area over the next couple of days. Today, temperatures are predicted to be about 67 degrees, with light to moderate southwest winds. Relative humidity is predicted to be 50%-63%. Rain is expected this evening.

Evacuations and Road Closures:
• There are no evacuation orders or road closures in the area.

Stage 1 fire restrictions are in effect. For fire restriction information, phone 1-844-433-4737 or http://www.idahofireinfo.com/.

Despite the cooler temperatures, the conditions in the forests are still very dry. Use caution and adhere to all restrictions to help us protect our forests and keep the public and our firefighters safe.

Air Quality Alert: Current air quality in the area is listed as “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups”. Check the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality website at http://airquality.deq.idaho.gov/ for more information.
