Community: Winter Storm Watch until 04:00PM Sunday
...Moderate to heavy snow for the central Idaho Panhandle Friday and Friday night... ...Heavy snow possible Saturday and Sunday... .Snow will spread into the Idaho Panhandle just prior to sunrise Friday morning and persist into the early evening. Snow intensities will be light to moderate through the early afternoon then may become heavy at times late Friday afternoon and early evening before ending. Travel the central panhandle including Lookout Pass may become hazardous at times. A stronger and wetter storm system will overspread the region on Saturday and last through Sunday. Heavy snow accumulations are possible in the mountains and valleys of northeast Washington and the Idaho panhandle. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total valley snow accumulations of 7 to 11 inches, with mountain accumulations up to 2 feet, are possible.
* WHERE...Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, Priest River, Eastport, Schweitzer Mountain Road, Colville, Northport, Deer Park, Chewelah, Newport, Kettle Falls, Springdale-Hunters Road, Orin- Rice Road, and Flowery Trail Road.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on very difficult travel conditions. Significant reductions in visibility are possible. Areas of blowing snow are possible as snow ends late Sunday and north winds increase.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHERN PANHANDLE
