Community: Winter Storm Watch until 10:00AM Friday A Pacific storm system will bring heavy snow to the Cascades, the northeast Washington mountains, and the Idaho Panhandle mountains tonight through Thursday night. Heavy snow will be limited to the higher mountains. In addition areas of freezing rain will be possible for the Cascade valleys and the northeast mountain valleys.
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of up to 11 inches in the mountains and ice accumulations of a light glaze possible for the valleys.
* WHERE...Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, Priest River, Eastport, Schweitzer Mountain Road, Colville, Northport, Deer Park, Chewelah, Newport, Kettle Falls, Springdale-Hunters Road, Orin- Rice Road, and Flowery Trail Road.
* WHEN...From late tonight through Friday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* AFFECTED AREAS : NORTHERN PANHANDLE ... NORTHEAST MOUNTAINS
